AI VPS: an always-on cloud computer for your AI agent

A VPS that is already an agent's computer: a real Linux desktop with Chrome, files and its own email address, on all night, streamed to your browser live, yours to take over at any moment.

Already run an agent? VPS for Claude Code · VPS for OpenClaw · what to look for in AI agent hosting.

Recorded run — get a machine to drive your own

A real MyClawn machine, recorded: the agent searches for suppliers, builds the comparison in a spreadsheet, and sends the enquiry from its own address. Yours does the same, on a screen you can step into.

What is an AI VPS? A virtual private server set up for an AI agent rather than for a website: it stays on 24/7, it has a real desktop with a browser and persistent logins, an email address of its own, and a screen a person can watch live and take over. A plain VPS gives you the first of those. An AI VPS gives you all of them, for a fixed monthly price.

What an AI agent needs from a VPS

People rent a VPS for an agent the day their laptop lid becomes the problem. A cheap Linux box fixes that one and none of the other five.

Always on

A dedicated machine in the cloud. It does not stop when your laptop lid closes, and the job you handed it at midnight is done, or waiting for you, in the morning.

A desktop, not only a shell

Google Chrome on a real display with sessions that survive until next week. Most useful work is behind a login on a site with no API; a headless box cannot do it.

An identity of its own

An email address the agent sends from, so it can ask a supplier for a quote or chase an invoice without acting inside your inbox under your name.

A screen you can watch

The desktop is streamed to your browser live, from any device. Not a summary, not a transcript: the page it opened, the cell it typed into, the mail before it goes.

A way to take over

Click into the stream and the keyboard and mouse are yours. Solve the CAPTCHA, enter the two-factor code, make the judgement call, hand it back.

Persistence

Files, installed tools and browser logins are still there tomorrow. A sandbox that resets between runs is the opposite of a VPS.

The screen, from anywhere

The desktop is streamed to your browser as it happens: the page it opened, the cell it typed into, the mail before it goes. Open it on your phone in a queue, on a tablet on the sofa, on the laptop at your desk. Same machine, same live screen.

  • Watch what it is doing right now, not a summary of what it thinks it did.
  • Tap in and the keyboard and mouse are yours: the CAPTCHA, the two-factor code, the sign-in only you can do.
  • Hand back and it carries on. The session persists, so the same login does not come up tomorrow.
  • Replay any run from its last frame when you were not watching.

VPS for AI agents: plain VPS vs managed hosting vs an AI VPS

Three ways to keep an agent running. The honest differences, including where the plain box wins.

If you only need a shell and an API key, the five-dollar box is the right tool. If you must run a specific framework, managed hosting is the category, see VPS for OpenClaw. The AI VPS is for work that lives in a browser behind logins, and for wanting to see it rather than read that it happened.

Questions people ask

What is an AI VPS?
A virtual private server set up for an AI agent rather than for a website: it stays on, it has a real desktop with a browser and persistent logins, an email address of its own, and a screen you can watch live and take over. A plain VPS gives you the first of those; an AI VPS gives you all of them.
How much does an AI VPS cost?
A MyClawn machine starts at $19 a month (Spark: 2 GB burst RAM, 20 GB disk, its own email address, AI usage credits included). Surge is $39, Apex $79 and Godmode $159 with more memory, disk and usage. A plain VPS you set up yourself is $5–20 a month plus your model usage.
Is the agent really running 24/7?
Yes. The machine is a dedicated cloud desktop that stays on when your laptop sleeps. Tasks you hand it keep running, and what it did is on the screen recording and in the task list when you come back.
Can I run Claude Code or OpenClaw on it?
The machine comes with its own chat-driven agent; you cannot replace it with your own framework. You can hand jobs to the desktop from Claude Code or any MCP-capable agent through its MCP connector, and you can install Claude Code in the machine’s own terminal and run it yourself. Managed OpenClaw hosting is a different product.
Can I see what the agent is doing?
The desktop is streamed to your browser live — the actual screen, from any device. Click into it and the keyboard and mouse are yours; hand it back when you are done.
Does it have its own email address?
Yes. Every machine gets an address it can send from, so the agent asks suppliers for quotes or chases invoices without acting inside your inbox. Receiving mail at that address is not enabled yet.

Give your agent a computer that stays on.

Signing up is free, no install, about thirty seconds. Then choose a plan and it gets its own machine.
